Ok, we picked up Mikelhsr1982's '86 model last night. He was right, the electrical system is a boogered mess! But its gonna be fun... yea.

He got another wiring harness, which we are messing with, but my question is as far as electrical parts, (switches, relays, controls, etc), do I need to stay under '95 models, or are 20xx models ok to use too??

Hey Mike - what year did this replacement harness come from? I forgot to ask.

between the '88 and '95, the CDI and kickstand switch connectors are different.

The front brake switch is different, but I think the connector is the same.

Keep below the year they added the 4way flasher and the controls connections should all be the same.

'86 is a bit of an orfan, a few minor changes happened in '87. The safeties were redun and the kickstand light was dropped.

Its from an 87.
Hey Mike - what year did this replacement harness come from? I forgot to ask.
