Sorry for short notice ....... just found out last night.
Sunday Sept 5th is the "Rock & Roll Ride for Autism" which goes thru Eastern PA.Starts in Skippack, PA ( few miles from Lansdale) at a large Construction company that sponsors the ride and
ends at Pocono Raceway. It includes 3 "parade" laps (( one at 55 behind a pace car to get the feel of the track, then 2 (or more) flat out )) . Pocono Raceway is a Indy/NASCAR track so yes, you can push it to the limits to see what your bike will do. And there are all types of bikes there. Old Hondas, New sport bikes, Trikes, Side cars.... But... last year only saw one LS650 (I was on my Sportster). And, while doing laps, I got passed by a Burgman 650...

I was on it last year. The Construction company uses it's vehicles & flagmen to control traffic at many of the intersections and the Patriot Guard gets many of the others. Also, the PA State Police run escort for a bunch of milles. Last year, it ran like a funeral, no stopping the whole way. And, last year the 3 laps turned to 5.
A
MUST DO ride if you are anywhere close to the east side of PA
