My niece did see a lawyer a 10 minute free consultation, he has handled this type of thing before, he advised her to pay the 1500.
he said if it does go to court they have his IP address and can prove it,and it gets very spendy with a chance of jail.
If I was going to copy a movie I would rent the movie copy it and take it back, no harm no foul.
The thing is his mom has warned him several times.He has $5000 in savings ,for every buck he saved my sister would match it,he was going to get it on his 18th B/day next month.shame realy,he had big plans for that money,perhaps he can buy some movies with the change.
