Carb question not bike related

I have been trying to rebuild the Carter Quadrajunk oops I mean Quadrajet on my van. I took the carb to the parts store and they gave me a kit that is supposed to work with the carb number. Here is the problem though, the kit is for a Rochester Carb and I have a Carter.
When I pulled the carb apart I noticed some differences. Will a Rochester kit work on a Carter?

Yeah, I found that when I was researching earlier for it but it doesn't actually say if a Rochester kit will work on a Carter. The main difference I spotted was the float needle seems to be different and I noticed that some of the channels are routed differently. I'll take some pics here in a little while so ya'll can see what I am getting at about the float needle.

Yes, it is stamped on the carb manufactured by Carter. However, I did figure out that the kit I have
will
fit.
