That's odd. Bagpipes are usually attacked by music lovers.

Amazing what you have to catch up on after some time away!
First, the Japanese Coast Guard -- that was some pretty impressive dancing for the foredeck of a smal vessel in the wake of a humongous cruise ship! As for the dresses or kilts, Japan, like our Brit colleagues, has a tradition of male performers in female costume. All the female roles in Kabuki and Noh are performed by men, and not necessarily for comic effect!
As for the all-male dance troupe, hey, it's just an expanded version of the Village People with cheaper costumes!
