Welcome leoceg! Everyone has their own tastes, and ''needs'' in their bikes.
I have noticed most bobbers posted still have the stock rear tire (meaning very few miles ), and yours has been replaced meaning you actually ride it. A good thing.
But I have 2 questions, first no front disc, but you still have the caliper? I hope you do put it back on, no front brake at all is scary.
No rear fender at all? Again I think this picture is not the totaly finished product.
However you ride, ride safe!

badwolf you bring up some good points...
1. This bike is at 32k miles, few of which are mine lol but its still running strong.
2. While installing the front brake i had a hard time opening the caliper so so the missing front disk is temporary until i get that figured out. havent gotten around to it
3. as for the rear fender, im testing the waters and seeing how i like no fender... so far so good until i go through a puddle but i like the look. If i decide to add one, im thinking one attached to the swing arm with a sissy bar.
But you're right, its a work in progress so ill keep updated

Reply #1055 - 07/14/20 at 15:42:38 Work in progress. 18" rear wheel, GT550 tank, lowered front 2". Custom seat hoop (seat is just a mockup). Still need to get new bars and front lights, a new muffler, and new front tire.

Hi everyone !

I'm glad to finally be able to post a photo of my first bike ever, a 92 savage I bought a few years ago. I recently finally took the courage and time to go homemade bobber style, so here it is though I still have a few mods in mind (mini apes and raptor petcock). I really appreciate all the info and help I could find on this forum, so thanks ! Cool

My Street Tracker Build

Just got it running again after two years of building. I am an old dirt bike guy that wants to try flat tracking. First 19" wheels which lead to a lot of swingarm mods, etc, etc. Hopeful get it on the road soon.

Thanks for the great web site and the contributors! I have used it a lot in my flat track build!

Last winter I was fortunate enough to find a '96 Savage on FB marketplace for $800, and after a number of mods and "improvements", got the bike to where I wanted.
My Dad liked the bike so much, He ended up trading even up for my old '86 K75 that I had sold him a few years back. Funny thing is, the first two things he did were to raise the front back up 2" and put the stock bars back on. Cheesy

Well, needless to say, I really missed the bike...a lot.... :'(

This winter I found another '96 on FB for $900 and couldn't refuse. Shocked

I work in a maintenance position at a window and door factory, so I'm no stranger to fabrication and modification, and here's what I have so far...Can't wait for Spring!!!

It's taken me a handful of years, and there's already a photo in here of the 'interim' mod (essentially just a new paint job then), but I finally finished my cafe build on my '99 Savage, with no small help from a bunch of you folks in here!!! I literally couldn't have done big chunks of it without your wisdom.
