As some of you know, I moved to a C50 in March. I still miss the S40. Anyway, I spent six hours detailing it on Saturday and thought I would post a shot since I will guarantee you it will never look better. I like riding a whole lot better than detailing.
I have put on about 800 miles on it so far and, other than the standard saddle (where have I run in to that before?) have been well pleased. I have added a OEM gel saddle, backrest, Cobra highway bars, and a set of Viking bags. The gel seat and backrest seem to be working well but I have yet to try an all day run. The next addition will probably be a set of highway pegs.
Good hunting

Hiya,
How do you like your viking bags? Holdin up okay? I've been about to pull the trigger on em, but hearing mixed reviews. I'm guessing the saddle bags are grea tbut the mounting hardware is a pain in the ass?

Here is my 1999 LS650. She is also my first motorcycle. I have a lot of learning to do! Previous owner called her Black Betty. I may do the same.
Hey, would your saddle bags happen to be these ?

Has anyone ever blacked out the spokes on their wheels too? I'm thinking about doing that

Hello im new to the forum and wanted to introduce myself as well as my "new" bike. Its an '87 savage i bought off of my buddy for $300. I have too many bikes as it is but i couldn't pass up this deal, plus ive wanted to get my hands on one of these bikes for a while! So far ive ordered a UNI filter, and the raptor petcock as well as new from EBC brake pads. Maintence wise i already adjusted the valves (they were too tight), did a compression test, tore apart and cleaned to carb, need to replace the fork seals, im going to inspect the timing chain tensioner also going to do an oil and filter change. She needs some love and attention but at least its all there. Im planning on doing a stripped down bobber with a dual sport front tire and high exhaust, basically building it to suit its desert environment (dirt roads etc.).

Just changed bars, prefer the Tracker look to the Cafe style ( easier on my wrists too ! )

Thought i'd post a link to my photobucket "my bikes" directory... majority of these I've had over the last 5-6years , and a few from the past.
Had to copy other folks photo's on the ones in the past, had a house fire when I was in my early 20's and destroyed most of my stuff.

Well time to introduce myself:
Just went for a 3 hour outing on my Savage in 50F temps in southern Ontario Canada. Awesome day and awesome ride. Bought my 2003 Savage in September this year and loving it. Going to spend the winter on the 'mods' whoeeee!!!
Well lets see if the pics attach.

I bought a LS 650 for my wife to lose the rust ...
And now that it's capable of more miles I decided it was time to turn before buying the Sportster for her.
Here's some pictures of how it was and how it was getting ...
the work is in progress ...
