Sounds good so far -- a mountain road trip is in the making. MM has a good knowledge of the general area (as does Big Zuk) so we can trust them to plan out a trip that doesn't include too much Parkway -- way slow traffic on weekdays -- and too many excursions greater than 80 miles between the gas stations ....
some of us are empty at 90 miles you know

Nice pics Kel. Thanks for sharing. Who is the rider in frame #18? The reason I ask is, I noticed his head light is square and wondered where it came from? Thanks and have fun this year at the Dragon..

Kel, any info on the head light on the bike he is riding? Again just curious as it is square. Reminds me of a car head light.
I had hoped to make the trip to the Dragaon this year. However plans changed and as much as I had wanted to, I won't be making the trip.
Your all so fortunate to be able to get together and ride the Dragon.
Maybe some year I will make that trip. For now I will enjoy riding here and feel lucky that I am once again able to ride.
Take care, hugs..

Not sure but i thin the bike is a 80's era bike that might explain the head light

Haven't looked at the pictures yet , but Brothe's bike is a V-65 honda. He had one back in the 80 and then sold it , but he must have liked it a lot couse in the early 2000's he bought another one. I've rode it and it's a fast machine ! Water cooled v-4 1100cc with a six speed shaft drive. He lives in "Them there Hills" and can drive it to its limits , but on a curvy that bike is "ALLMOST" a match for our Savages , or at least one with a car tire on it.
But look out on the stright-a-ways , that thing does 130 with only a little effort , I'll find out what it geared to redline 6th gear at next time I talk to him.

just looked at the pictures. BigZuk's bike looks to be at the edge of raking gravel out of the pavement in allmost every frame ! How does he do it ?

Lancer is down and broken up
I jest can't get my head around it, Lancer was about the best rider among us, him Big Zuk and MMRanch always rode like they were on rails.
My turn is next I guess -- you realize of the original first dragon run crew I am the last man standing. It t'ain't no honor, it is a crunch sentence jest waiting to happen.
And it isn't like I haven't gone down in the mountains prior to that, just haven't done it on my Savage yet.
wow

They say it happens to the best of us, and that its a matter of "when", not "if". We now know that to be fact, not fiction.
Get well soon Lancer.

Wow That Lancer sure takes southern hospitality to super levels and he can rebuild your carb as well. It just don't get any better than that.
This list is the best friendliest Lash-Up I've ever been on.
Some other sites it seems that they're terrible places to tease the pygmies huh. Too much water on the ankles....

Lancer is a good dude to get to know. So are the rest of the guys who go Dragon riding, you should plan to drop by if you can. The companionship and the ride is well worth it.
