It is perty durn far away, on the far side of Ashville and is what over 80-90 miles long through the heart of the eastern section of Pisgah National Forest?
(no gas stations)I was thinking we'd mostly stay on this civilized side of Ashville, mostly. With lots of ready bathrooms and drink breaks in BurgerKings & Greasy Mac's and whatnot in all them ready little towns and such. And gasoline, don't forget each time we stop to piss we gotta gas up all over again.
And we gotta always be mindful of the cell phone, EMS and Triple AAA service availability for any Hurley riders we catch up with ....
Not that we couldn't go elsewhere, but we gotta take Lancer's back and my left hip joint into consideration with these here extra extra longish trip plans.
And about them 10,000 stair steps to get up to the top of Mt. Mitchell --- sorry 'bout that but these here old creaky folks ain't up to it.

Playing a sedate round of HillBilly Golf at Pidgeon Forge is more our speed, I think.
