Not sure what the highway elevation is out your way, but I remember seeing signs up on the 504 road on the north side of St. Helens that said 3800 ft, and the ever-valuable Google Earth lists the parking lot at the end of the road at about 4100. Not bad when you start out at about 100 ft where ya leave the freeway. Grin

Well, Mitchell will let you up to the tippy top area and that is at 6600 feet, so we will get to ride higher than the St. Helens crew.

Now if they can post a picture of them roasting their dinner weenies over a lava flow, we'll give them the win anyways.

(if we can't counter it with an ignited eruption pic from the campfire guys that is -- serious danger of a badly burned weenie either way don't cha know it?)

..... now which one of these guys is the weenie this time around?

Your ride was very very pretty (especially Suzuki Princess, she was plumb cute) and that is one impressive busted up St. Helens volcano type mountain.

I can't believe it is swelling up like a pimple to go again, having "swelled up" with underground magma like 880 feet up into the air during the past 30 years since it last vented itself.

BURP !!! Shocked
