This is our Lab, Sam, she had gone out to potty and decided to play in the snow. This was taken at 10:15 pm this evening. She is snuggled inside now all nice and warm. Smiley kim

Kim, We had 10" of snow Sunday night/ Monday morning. Biggest snow in about 20 years. Couldn't get out of carport Monday, but busted out Tuesday. Supposed to be 28 for high today. Beautiful. Everyone enjoy and be careful.  Smiley

Snowing really hard out there right now. It started a couple hours ago and it's supposed to continue for the next 8-10 hours. 14 to 16 inches expected. Nothing to worry about, I'm leaving for work in a few minutes. Maybe come home early if it looks too bad at lunchtime.

Snowing here too, but my drive to work wasn't bad.  Its been predicted for a couple of days, so I guess the crews were prepared.  Supposed to snow most of the day.  Its pretty, but it makes my work a little more difficult.  Secretary out sick, bookkeeper out sick... leaves me as the final female in the office, to answer phones and do all their crap.  Oh, and did I mention we sell snow plows and salt spreaders??  Needless to say, its a nuthouse around here.  Thanks alot Mother Nature.   Grin

Kimmy, Sam looks sweet.  I'll try to get some pics of my pups in the snow later...

We haven't had any snow here yet but it has been mighty cold. But that ain't unusual for this area. We may get some later in the month or next month. That's the way it usual happens around here.

Bah! Humbug!!
I'll trade you this miserable fracking cold we have right now for 12 inchs of snow if you'll ship us about another 20 degrees of heat! Cheesy

We've been averageing about 15 degrees below normal temps this winter(or more). Last few days we've been in the deep freeze with lows around zero and windchill down about 10-15 below. Which is a lot more then 15 degrees below normal. BRRRRRRR!
About the same temps we had 4 years ago when the 100 year ice storm took out the electric for about two weeks. At least we don't have ice. Just a couple inchs of light fluffy snow that immediately packed like ice. Slicker then dog snot.

I think they said awhile ago on the news we had snow in every state but florida right now.
Anyone wonder whats up with mother nature the last few years?
Tsunamis, earthquakes, volcanoes, floods, colder then normal, massive ice storms, snow where it don't usualy snow, extreme heat in the summer, Tornadoes in the middle of winter?
Man she is pizzed about something!! Cheesy Grin

Here on the Avalon Peninsula of Newfoundland we are usually socked in with snow by mid to late December most years ... this year, unusually, it was mild and completely snow free until yesterday ... the Nor Easter that dumped on the U.S. Eastern Seaboard clobbered us too ... 40cms (16 inches) of snow has fallen in the past 24 hours, with another 4 inches predicted today ... I just came in from clearing my driveway in prep fpr going to work this morning ... took me an hour and a half ... with a snowblower! Shocked

Perry, wow when you get the snow you really get it.. I hope it doesn't hang around too long. At least you have a snowblower and didn't have to shovel it by hand.
Our snow melted and temps are now in low 50's. So that has brought many of the rivers up and threatening to overflow their banks.
Many mudslides and some roads have been closed down.
Hugs and hope again hope the snow is soon out of your area.. Smiley kim

When I was a kid I would take a piece of strong rope and thread it through the spokes and wrap it around the back tire of my motorcycle. It would go like crazy in the snow, like putting chains on a car. I dont reccomend anyone over 20 years old try it.
