Winter Weather Safety Tips

It has been suggested that anyone traveling in the current winter conditions should make sure they have the following:

Shovel
Blankets or sleeping bag
Extra clothing including hat and gloves
24 hours worth of food
De-Icer
Rock Salt
Flashlight with spare batteries
Road flares or reflective triangles
Empty gas can
First Aid kit
Booster cables

Re: Winter Weather Safety Tips Reply #2 - 01/30/11 at 09:16:20 Took a while for me to "get" the reason for the empty gas can. Some toilet paper mite be a good idea, too. Make sure the car has enough gas to keep ya from freezin & dont let snow build up around the exhaust.

But, if you're thinking of using it for 'that' which would need TP... kitchen trash bags would be a better bet. and some duct tape.
