The one thing I can't stand about my own Savage is the bicycle brakes... she'll lock the rear but front disc is hopeless...

When I was young and foolish (now I'm just foolish) I decided to find out if I could maintain control of a motorcycle with the front wheel locked. So I tried it on wet grass, got going about 10 mph and locked the front wheel. Down I go. The really foolish part is I thought to myself " you almost had it, you need to go faster to maintain momentum" so I tried it again, at about 20 mph. Down I go again a lot harder this time. I bruised both knees, and gave up. To get back to the post I too have chirped the front wheel in panic stops and feel the braking ability of the bike is just fine for it's weight. I would NEVER want to lock up the front brake. (again)
