I see that the die-hards are still here.
I've been having a tough couple of years so I've been out of touch. My Savage however is still hanging in there too. I've repainted it.
Pretty soon I'm not going to be in Hawaii anymore. My daughter and I are moving to Washington state this June. I hope to find a place and a job on or near Bainbridge island. We'll see. Hopefully I get to put in a lot more riding now.

Phelonious or Sasquatch is on the big isle and she's on the beautiful one on the other end of the chain.

SW - missed your tales of artistic derring do, as welll as the tales of the island. Hope you and daughter do well with the relocation. The past two years have been kind to a very few economically; I hope you and yours are healthy so you can jump aboard the gravy train (it went through Massachusetts about 20 years ago) might be arriving in Washington State about now.

S Wahine,
Happy to see you're still kicking.
So.... with Phelonious there in the islands, are you afraid that two Savages that close will cause a gravity shift and sink the place??

Welcome back. When you get moved you can ride for 3000 miles without dropping in the ocean. But you have to go east.

Thanks everyone!
I know Washington is going to be cold, but that's where my daughter wanted to go. She has one more year of high school, and after that she'll have residency so we won't have to pay out of state tuition for the college she wants to go to. I hope I can handle the cold until then. Afterward, who knows, I might move to Florida or some place warm. I just want to be able to ride for more than 50 miles and at 40 MPH. They reduced the speed limit here, and it really is annoying!
Just got to get myself some nice warm clothing

Coastal Washington isn't cold by continental standards. Thanks to the California and Alaska currents and the North Pacific and Alaska Gyres, there's plenty of (relatively) warm water to keep things from getting seriously arctic. So Bainbridge Island and Puget Sound in general will have lots of rain, but relatively little snow, ice or subfreezing temperatures. Once you cross the Cascades and get into the higher elevations of eastern Washington, it's a different story.
Of course, by Hawaii standards it's gonna be COLD brah!
Welcome to our continent and establishing residency for college!

Welcome back SW. There have been a few changes here. I no longer own the FireLizard and I believe there are a couple more FSOs as well, but other than that pretty much the same gang.
Good luck on your Washington move. I hope it treats you better than it did me when I was there a few years back.

Aloha to you SavageWahine. Best of luck as you move to
Washington State. We will be neighbors. I live within an
hrs drive of there.
It will be great to possibly meet and have ride times as
well as wrenching time together.
Keep in touch and let me know when you get moved.
Bring some of that warm sunshine with ya..
