...I know, I saw this vid last week and I thought exactly the same,
cut down the xanax lady, jeez
I NEVER let myself get boxed in by cars, never, i've seen way to
many accidents happen this way including a friend of mine that
also luckily walked away.

And this folks is why you watch your mirrors, especially when stopped/stopping; stop with your bike aimed slightly to the side, in gear, clutched; and ready to split the lane. My cages have been rear-ended by other cages four times, about once a decade.

Walking away from that about used up his lifetime allowance of good luck.

Traffic on both sides of him was moving, appears some dumbass stopped quick in the center lane. He had barely come to a stop, so I don't see he could have avoided that any way. And did anybody notice, it looked like it bounced him right off the bike onto his feet?

He is one very lucky dude indeed.
This is a prime example how
quickly an accident can occur.
I was relieved to see the rider
was ok.

I watched it a second time, and I don't think the rider looked at their mirror (camera didn't seem to move). Plus they didn't leave themselves an "out." Following too close and didn't move to one side or the other to see forward or slow down to make space. Lucky.
