I have a pair of boots with those deep tread soles, and the tread was perfect for collecting bits of gravel that stuck and would scratch my tile floors...
So,.. I used the wirewheel to grind off the tread... still got tons of sole but no more rocks... Wink

Don't you hate those thick treads?... all they do is gather rocks and mud,...
...and god forbid if you step in doggy-doo... Huh

I don't have a wire wheel or a buffing wheel for it yet but I have two kinds of stone, a pretty coarse one and a rather fine one.

I agree with Mick, my primary tool collection is based around woodworking/construction and I don't have alot of metal working tools so I had to vote "Other" but I do love my BFH!!! Grin
