I though you might like these!
This was parked next to me outside the "Good Egg" restaurant on 83rd in Peoria AZ. I found the owner who was as old as the bike. He restored it about three years ago and said that it is a daily ride.
These bikes were never meant to be kept on a showroom floor!
Enjoy!

A beautiful classic. Those are the kind of bike a person could work on at home with normal tools, no computer parts to go bad. That would a very nice bike to own but I would be to scared to ride it very much. I am jealous , a bit.

Wow,, rotten deal there. Seems a bike owner would want to see that bike on the road,, I guess he was just so attached to it that selling it would have put him closer to the grave.

Shifting that 47 would be easy. It has the optional right side throttle, left side shifter. Both of my Chiefs had left side throttle, right side hand shifter.
Lisa's grandfather was a Memphis PD motorcycle officer. His Henderson was also a left throttle, right side shift. His .38 Special wheelguns are still here at the farm. Wish the bike was still here but got sold off years ago.
Civilian and military police were taught to shoot right handed only. Left throttle allowed them to draw their revolvers more efficiently. Not sure if they were taught to shoot from the bike while moving.
