Babyhog,

Serowbot sweats-a lot.  Me, I glow.

My mother is visiting Phoenix and we've been discussing the difference in humidity levels and how dry heat doesn't usually make you sweat like our humid climate does.  She said she ate an ice cream cone outside in 90 degree heat and it didn't even melt.  That's just so foreign to me!  And cold cans don't sweat either?  Call me silly, but I never thought of that before. Lol

So why does Bot sweat so much?  Probably don't really want the answer to that. Lol. I'll just pretend he glows like you.  Wink

We had some sunshine today but the threat of a severe thunderstorm kept me off the bike.  Of course I had time before it actually rained, but didn't want to chance it.

We have perfect riding weather here and i was going to go out for a ride today but did something to neck and cant turn it all the way to the right. Took some pain meds and it is loosening up well. If it aint one thing than its another with me, I just cant seem to win. I do know that i need to get out and do some riding and clear my head. Hopefully the neck will be better tomorrow.

You're a winner with us, KristenAnn!  If it's a muscular problem, try a heating pad - 20 minutes on, 20 minutes off.  Don't use heat while using a topical NSAID though.  A little massage may help as well.  De-stressing techniques such as deep breathing and letting your body weight sink down into the chair / bed may also help to relax your neck and shoulder muscles.  No Japanese algebra here, just a few simple things that may help get you out on the road sooner.  Good luck.

Thanks for the advise scroop. Along with having ms, i have right side disk compression and buldging between c5 and c6. So the neck pain comes and goes when it wants to. Everything is stable on MRi of april this year compared to summer of 2009. The neck is loosening up and i really plan on going atleast on a short trip tomorrow. Wether it be 2 miles or 50. I am going. Cheesy

Probably a guilty conscience.  Of course, it could also be because he has so much hair.  You get to choose.

Rainy, dreay hear all day and cold. Sun never showed its smileing face. No rideing for me.

Funny thing is the sky opened up and stayed pretty much clear over joplin just a short drive away and hit about 70.
So much so one of the reporters sunburned the back of his neck...lol
Hoped it raised their spirits a bit as well.

Life does have its challenges.  God forbid that I should ever complain again.  I hope that you got your ride in, KristenAnn.  Wolfman - We get floods up here, but not that often.  I couldn't imagine dealing with a tornado.  When we do get them, and that's rare, they're pretty small.

Sun this a.m. Cool though. I went and cut some
blackberry bushes and trimmed the Wisteria.
It was trying to take over the fence.. Some
things have to be told their boudaries..lol
Was going to plant some new flowers I
purchased yesterday. Went out it started
pouring, so decided to wait. Then sun
came out, windy as hell, not good as that
means the allergens are flying around. So
am waiting to see what comes next..
Hope June comes in and is warmer than
May has been. Smiley kim

If I ever glow,... it'll be 'cause I'm on fire...   Huh..

Nice ride today,... 100' in town,.. 75' up on the mountain...
Love the mountain in the summer...
I got a little frisky on the curves,... and leaked a little liquid...
... but it wasn't sweat... Huh...

PS... Ice cream does melt here,... it's soup in ten seconds...
... and touching a chrome door handle, or a black steering wheel,,... is like grabbing a piece of the sun...

The only difference is,.. if there is a breeze,... sweating does do some good...

I sweat, therefore I am... Huh...

... but what is with this wind?...
It seems to be worldwide.   I just saw SOS Hillary speaking in Pakistan in a galestorm, and Barack with his wife and the Queen in England getting blown all over.
And you can't get more wind than a tornado... oodles of 'em!....
I've been trying to find a calm day to install some french doors for two months and every day is 15 to 40 mph winds... (I finally did it in spite of the winds, because I had to beat the heat)... (a 6' x 6' hole in your house will get you moving fast when the winds kick up to 20 or 30mph...)...
This is truly a bizarre weather year!...

Yeah!! I got out for a ride today with a fellow forum reader. It was approx 35 miles round trip and it felt so good. I took him and his wife to a little icecream shop in the middle of nowhere on a farm that makes the icecream fresh right there. They also have a petting "zoo" area that you can feed and pet the llamas, goats, sheep, and rabbits. You used to be able to feed the cows but they stopped doing that. Oh well.

Kristenann, if you want something you can use anytime day or night try Salonpas Patches. I use em for muscle soreness(real bad back) in my neck and back.
Ex uses em for carpal tunnel and rhumatoid arthritis. They work pretty good.

If your into rubs Flexal if you can find it or Extra Strength Pain Buster II.
I like flexal better but be carefull as you can overdo it.
The pain buster works pretty well to. Works more on the pain then the soreness though.
You can find all of them at walmart.

The solanpas you can wear to sleep or up around during the day. Just dont sweat or they come off...lol

Fresh made icecream...I'm gonna have to look for that around here!  Like everyone else, we've had our share of rain, but the wind has not been bad at all this spring for us.  Did a good ride today with an old friend.  I usually ride alone, so it was a nice change.  The warm weather brought out a lot of nice machines.  Went to check out the temporary Flight 93 memorial site in Shanksville (off rt 30 near Stoystown).  Phase one of the permanent site will be open to the public on the 10th anniversary.

Got about a 180 mile ride in today back n forth to the cemetary. Lot of sun and humidity, hit 88 degrees. Wind was a bit stiff. Not bad going down but comeing back like to beat me to death on the slab.
Back road twisties did put a smile on my face though. Just were'nt enough of them...lol

DONT start hitting the curves hard when your mother is rideing in the truck behind you, at least untill you get out of sight. You'll hear "were'nt you hitting them curves to fast!"...lol
