I've recently seen on craigslist where people are offering to rent out their scooter so inexperienced riders can pass the course. That is just wrong. If you can't pass on the bike you're gonna ride, you shouldn't be riding. In your case though, I would say yes. Just my opinion.

My thoughts exactly, and I voted yes as well.
When I took my riding test there were 3 of us there. 1 was an older gentleman on a Road King that claimed he'd been riding for 20+ years, with his last bike being a Hyabusa. 2 was a younger kid on his first bike, a GSXR600 an 3 was me on my first bike, a S40.
Older guy went first and couldn't do the cone weave or u-turn w/o putting a foot down so he FAILED!!!
Watched the young kid go, and he had no problem but rode the line during the u-turn, still he PASSED.
I went last and worked through all the obstacles without problems, my only deduct was I had to accelerate to 20, then brake quickly once I crossed the line. With the location of our speedo, I didn't realize how much I accelerated and was going too fast. Took a bit more to stop me too. Instructor PASSED me, but commented that I was doing more than 20 when I crossed the line and need to watch my speed
