Fork brace- what a difference!

Hard to describe but it feels more sure footed, especially on less than perfect roads. I will have to be careful that I don't get over-confident.

I keep hearing this... but, with the thickness and strength of the stock fender, I can't understand why...
I may have to throw logic out the window and try one myself...
Seems to be too many first hand accounts disputing my logic.
Congratulations on your new purchase Arty... Is it a Superbrace or Tkat?... ... or other?...

I agree with you Serow, the fender looks sturdy, but when push comes to shove, it flexes enough to not make any significant difference.

Rowboat, I promise, youll see a marked difference. I would equate it with the performance boost youd get from just slapin a S/trapp on & jetting it.

Yep, I put a Super Brace on last season. The bike is more stable, better on uneven roads at low speed, less squirrelly. Love it.

They also really help on the superslab when you are running over 70mph.

I put a Tkat fork brace on mine and noticed a BIG difference - i ride local small roads mostly, and it helped with the tar strips, drawbridge crossing and other weird little areas.
seems to keep the front end 'wiggle' down when going over irregular surfaces - i was very happy with the results.

The difference for me was night and day. I put a Tkat on and the bike was a lot more stable on the hiway. It also helps with ruts etc. That thend to make the front end wobble. For me the fork brace was money very well spent.

So how hard is it to install one of these? I heard superbrace is having trouble lately with their shipments but I am interested in getting this.

Takes 5 minutes, so simple even a Republican could install one.

I have the T-Kat and found it to be
very helpful as well in the uneven
surfaces.
Grooved pavement is also easier
to go across.
Webhead, in the tech section, their is
a post on how to install one with pics..
I placed it there myself..
And it is easy to do. I did mine without
any instructions.

Thanks Kim. I sent him an email on cost. I can't wait. I installed my shield today. Worked out exactly how I wanted but the saddlebags didn't. I want them big enough to throw a jacket in and to be able to lock them. I like to go to the city and not get the bags stolen or ransacked.
Checking out the guide now and thanks.

Your welcome, good luck with the bags.
Make sure if you order the T-kat, you
tell him that what year and that it is
a S-40.. Good luck,
kim
