Jerry, I am with you on the boots...I to did some auto racing and the footwear is still the same...Flat soles with fire retardent material...I much prefer the sensitivity to the rigid boots...I wear a pair of leather shoes that have a flexible sole...May not make the best sense, but I feel at ease with those...

How about augmenting your shoes with some of these?

I would rather sweat than bleed. Summer riding I wear a mesh jacket, jeans, gloves, ff helmet and boots. Winter I swap out the mesh jacket for a leather. I've been real glad I wear gear more than once. Forgot to put the kick stand down and fell over at a gas station slamming my helmet off the pump on the way down. It didn't hurt anything except for my ego but without the skid lid I would of gotten a real good egg or a nice cut. Been down enough times so I wear gear all the time.

Bumble bee that looks like he is about to rob a bank...
I live in Florida
and I wear long pants, usually jeans, mesh jacket with padding, full face helmet, leather gloves - all the time. Dont care if its 95 out. I also am guilty of wearing jogging shoes or leather sneakers though.

I am an ATGATT rider. I just got a very nice three season jacket that goes down to mesh and all the armour for summer riding. It would be nice if summer got here now.
I also wear at least jeans and boots but for highway riding I have kevlar and armoured pants. Always gloves and glasses too, and usually full face helmet instead of my half helmet.

I have them - not worn them yet - when the hi-vis chaps wear out then these are on deck to take their place - these are also excellent for all season riding.and cheap $7......worlds largest bumble bee! - I was going for the Power Ranger effect but bumble bee will do

Weracerc, what type of material are those made of?
Is it something that could melt if it should come into
contact with the exhaust? Curious as the material
looks to be of a plastic type.
