Finished msf course today........
06/19/11 at 16:18:18

........and it was a bit humbling. I'd only ridden maybe 15 times before the class so I definitely didn't think I was great or anything. It felt like riding for the first time again, Haha. I got much better really quick though, so that's good, Haha. Test was today and I only got dinged once, front tire went over the line when I was doing the figure eight in the box. Now I can actually go get my licence, Haha.

I'd recommend anyone that hasn't done the course, to go do it. Just try to go in fall or spring, I seriously think I lost about ten pounds in sweat since yesterday. Haha

Congrats on the finishing the course. I took my course and it was my first time ever on a bike and did not do too good but i took a private lesson and learned alot. After the class i went out and bought my savage and love every moment that i get to get out there and ride.

Taking mine this weekend, Not sure what to expect, but I'm sure I will learn alot! Supposedly, you get a break on bike insurance once you complete the course, so you might want to check with your insurance guy (or gal) also.

Practice turning in small spaces, that was the hardest part. Don't know how different it I'd where you live though.

Got my license today and just got back from my first night ride. I am covered in bugs, Haha.

Congratulations guys. When I learned to ride the only affirmation I got was when I got home and my parents were glad that I made it home alive. Someone took a poll of drivers and everyone had an opinion about all the bad drivers, but about 90% of them considered themselves to be good drivers. Learn your limits and stay well within them until you become familiar with your ride. You have a new lifestyle now. You are different. Ride safe.

Yeah, just watch out with their bikes. First I got stuck on some dual sport that was too tall for me to get both feet on the ground. Then I ended up on a rebel which was too small and hurt my back, Haha.

Yes -- a big congrats!

Now don't forget the next course in the series.  It's a one-day, and you do it on your own bike.  It's amazing how much you still have to learn, and the range work on your own machine is awesome!

(Yup, I did the BRC-2 a few weeks ago!)

Did the course a few weeks ago - as a new rider, it was great to get some seat time (on someone else's bike!).
Was on a newer 250 Ninja - fun to rev up. Best thing I learned: push steering.

Will deff be taking my M2X in 2 years time (graduated licence system here in Ontario).

I just completed mine on Tuesday, got a 98% on the written and only docked once on the skills test (went outside of the line on the u-turn test).  I feel much better about being out on the road, much more prepared.

One of the things I was surprised most by was that the theory behind looking through the corners, braking and a lot of other things are almost identical to what I've learned in my pursuit of my SCCA racing license.  I guess I shouldn't have been that surprised haha

Congrats to everyone else that passed!  I'll probably be taking more classes as one of the instructors son is one of my best friends.

If the question you missed was about going over obstacles, I think we might be twins, Haha.
