I have YTZ10S-BS or something like that. 9Ah, does the job. If the bike is in good shape, shouldn't see any problems.

Two comments:
1. Don't use all caps. Some folks hate it.
(
not me, I love EVERYTHING
)
2. Use a lithium-ion battery. One/third the dimensions, but more power. Oh,... but real pricey. For example:
http://www.shoraipower.com/p-154-lfx14l2-bs12.aspx
2.3 x 3.5 x 4.5" and weighs only 1.6 lbs 14ah $150

I'm running this same battery in the stock box. Doesn't exatly fit. But I made it work.

sparkie, I didn't notice the caps until it was mentioned. I guess it's ok. I think what you want is cranking amps. Our batteries have about 190-210 cca's if I remember. All things being equal, it's the amp rating that gives the available power.

another thing to note the orientation of the terminals is the more expensive style at NAPA and AUTOZONE ... the counter guy put me on to it in reverse configurattion it was 18 dollars cheaper as it is the way bigger seller of the 2 style ... I took a mototool and ground down the side of the batter box to clear the drain tube and bingo saved almost $20 bucks on the stock battery ... always thinking
