I bought my purty little Savage March of 2009. I was a straight-laced, by-the-book, pure road burner. I even read the owner's manual. Then I found this site. It started kinda innocent at first. I just shaved the letters off the side covers and painted them back black. Then I noticed the seat was hard, so I put memory foam in it arguing to myself no one would know. Someone had crash bars so guess what? Then the muffler fell apart. I had to actually go talk to Harley folks behind the garage in the weeds where cash was exchanged and I ran home with a shiny muffler. After that, I was bold and installed a Raptor petcock. I even told my Suzuki guy what it was for. No shame any more. I've done a few more little odds and ends, but tomorrow I'm going to buy a 140/90-15 tire and I know it's not stock. Oh, and today while pricing tires, I bought a doo rag. I'm not a doo rag person....or I wasn't before. Thanks.

I know what you mean boofer. i bought a nice and shiny (nearly) new savage and was too content. i crashed it and started getting it back to factory condition, but while looking for parts here, the bike started morphing: losing parts, getting louder, flat black got involved. now its a completely different animal and i love it Cheesy

i was so naive and innocent, now i'm a biker pro that all my friends come to for advice. thanks everybody.
