Anyway, I picked up a little box of different sized plugs to cover the vacuum but they aren't neoprene/ gas resistant. They didn't have any like that. Will this end up being eaten by the gasoline?

I found a screw that threaded into the nipple, then covered it with a rubber plug to look pretty... No damage to nipple, still reversible, and no chance of rot...

Thread procter! Awesome idea!

I'm cheap!

I cut the factory hose at the nipple about a 1/4 taller than the nipple. Then I cut a tiny piece of black plastic bag, folded it in half as to double layer it. Layed it over the hole and down the nipple. Slid the cut hose over and put the factory spring clip back on.

I call it my heart beat cause you can see the vacuum pushing at the bag.

Cheap and works. For now anyway.

They come either 1 in a pack, various sizes, or in multipacks, various sizes. Cheap, fits snugly on nipple. Works great. Can be had at any auto parts store.
