Oh the Joy - have not had my Savage out
08/01/11 at 18:16:19
I have not had my Savage out for a long ride for three years but this weekend that was corrected.
And now I remember why I love this bike!
Rode about 300 miles and taking it to Sturgis later this week

welcome back polar.
I haven't ridden this year, hopefully I will be able to match your renewed enthusiasm soon.
How far is it to Sturgis for you? I would be hesitant to go too far without putting more than a few miles on the bike. Did you take all the proper precautions when you stored your bike?

We have about 1200 kms to go - my son is coming with me - his first time - He will be riding my Intruder 1400 while the Savage goes down on a trailer.
With the Air Hawk seat pad and the protach backrest it was a very comfortable ride on the weekend.
Yes the storage was done properly - gas was stablized and a battery tender was in place. Fired right up

I thought you were gone to the "wet side " for good. Next thing we know Intrudn will pop by here...
Sturgis huh? You dislike your son that much?
WDO and I are back on the farm we lived on when Bert's site was still around. Invite still stands.
