Commercials like that tend to make me not buy the product. Even stuff I like goes by the wayside when the advertising gets too dumbed down.

At least the old guy was mostly right, FDR is a swear word around me. Whether the Anglicized version (Roosevelt) or the real (Marxist) version (Rosenfeldt). He was our first Marxist president.

seriously those cookies are NOTHING TO WRITE HOME ABOUT!...the shelves around here stay empty of the tradional version - they have i think 4 versions of this new fangled cookie - I did find a bag of the kind in the commercial.....was greatly disapointed....the original OREO can not be touched by this new thing......dont waste your money.

Why should FDR be seen in such a bad light, the way I was told his "New Deal" Policy slowly pulled the US out of the Great Depression.

Incidentally, he is also the President who maintained the US neutral in WW2 until Dec.7, 1941.

Serowbot: i can agree on that - "GW" is at least off -color if not actual obscenity

Mpescatori: a discussion of why FDR is good or bad probably belongs on the high table, since it would hinge on political philosophy. I shouldn't have brought it up.

Let's say that (whether or not one agrees or approves) FDR is associated with (at least in the minds of some) the increase in size and scope of the US National Government in the 20th Century (which conservatives and libertarians oppose).

Now, back to the funny comercials!
