oil in air box (Read 83 times)

Jahoo Full Member Offline Posts: 113 Annapolis,MD Gender:	oil in air box 08/10/11 at 14:01:37 should oil in air box be cause for alarm? i know there is a a drain tube but does this mean something else is going on?

There is a large huff tube that comes from the head that goes to the filtered side of the air box that takes all blow by gases from the engine and feeds it back through the carburetor.

Oil mists come along with the blow by gases from the engine and the crap you drain from your dump tube down by the drain plug should be about a tablespoon full per oil change and it should look really really nasty.
