I imagine one could squeeze in another gallon of gas - and it kinda looks cool too. I wonder how much it would cost to have a stock tank custom fabricated to a larger size.

That looks good. Maybe take some measurements and see what donor tank could be used with a little "massaging". Then either try cutting and welding it yourself or take it to a local welding/fab shop and see what they would charge. I would probably buy a spare Savage tank and the donor tank so you can keep riding while the new tank is under construction.

Looks like about 2.5" higher. Cut the speedometer out, cut tge tank horizonal, cut the bottom part of the speedometer, braze metal to cover the holes top and bottom, braze in 2.5" on the bottom half, braze onto the top half. Make sure it has no leaks, make it look pretty. I figure it will be close to two gallons more, 4.5 gallons, maybe 5.

Casey! How much does it cost to make to pancake one of our tanks?

When I get some time, I'm going to whip up a 3d model of this tank design before and after. It would be cool to use our tank and not a harley tank for a number of reasons. One being its natural mounting points, and of course our speedo, odometer, gas cap and so forth.

Raise up the rear end with some more aggressive shocks, reposition pegs, add some hard case pasnniers and your all set for some real long distance travel.
