When I rescued my Savage, the throttle cable was held to the carb with a twist of wire instead of the small U-shaped clip. I searched for a replacement, but it's not shown on either the carb fische or the cable fische, unless you need to get the whole cable in order to get the clip.

So, does anyone have one laying around?

I could be wrong but I remember someone on here saying that you could use a cotter pin in it's place.

Ya it is in the clutch cable repair thread, they used a cotter pin to replace the broken clip, assuming same could be done for throttle cable.

Napa has a real nice selection of all kinds of c-clips, u-clips, jesus clips, clips for just about everything. For mere pennies !!
