Yes, you can add a battery, connect it in parallel. YOu'll then have more current capacity. What youd effectively be doing is, strapping a battery & inverter to the bike, so you can use the bike as a charging station for a 400 watt ac power supply. You need ac often when youre on it? Id separate the batteries if I was using the inverter, so I wouldnt risk draining the battery I need to start the bike. A simple switch would be fine, The charge system isnt gonna shove so much current thrui it as to burn a switch up, Dont get a mini switch,, get one thatll handle the output of the charge system,, it isnt that much, I wouldnt mount that to the bike, Id build a box for the battery & ionverter & hook a pigtail; to the battery on the bike, so I could plug it in.
