Replacing Air Mixture Screw?

The previous owner made my philips head air mixture screw look like an hourglass head. I can still turn it in and out for now. But once I replace my exhaust and rejett I'm going to be tuning the carb and messing with the air screw. I certainly don't want to reach a point where I can't move the screw any longer.

Will I just keep turning it counter clockwise until it comes out?

I definitely know the difference but sometimes end up calling a slotted a phillips.

I'd just need to use a thicker slotted screwdriver than normal, not a problem there. Good idea Justin. Now I need a tiny file to do this though.

Reply #7 - 10/18/11 at 09:19:41 If theres sufficient material left out at the ends of the Hourglass you can drive it back into the slot & make the slot thinner again. Doesnt take much torque to turn it,,so, its not a big deal really,
