Get some help. It isn't all that heavy, but it is real clumsy getting out of the frame and putting it down. Also, consider sitting it down on something a foot or two off the floor that is strong enough to hold it. Getting it from waist level down to the floor can slip a disc.

I'm 6'3 and 210. The only time I have ever had any back problems was when I was too macho to get some help when I needed to pull airconditioners out of windows, take props off aircraft, etc.

I lift and move around that weight but that's I'm the gym with a great grip. It seems that taking it out of the frame will be clumsy Getting it out like Gyrobob said.

I replaced a 32" tube tv with a 32" lcd. The new one weighs about 18 lbs. The old one caused a crack in my foundation. Grin

I got every cushion and pillow in the house in the den floor and just rolled it off the entertainment center onto my Cosmonaut landing space. Rolled it onto a two wheeler and outside. DO NOT use your wife's cushions for a greasy engine. If you're single, go ahead. It endears us to our girlfriends BEFORE we're married. It's just something they can "fix" later.

A trick that is often used is to lay the frame over on the side, lay the engine into place w/ 2 people and maneuver everything into place with the engine being supported by the ground.

A blanket on the ground helps keep the marring down, and once you get at least a couple of engine mount bolts in place you can go vertical without popping your roids even a little bit.

I'm an old weenie-armed guy, but I managed to lift it out of the frame and, later, back in, with the help of a friend holding the bike upright and sliding a mounting bolt in. The hard part is finding a place to get a good grip, especially when it's as dirty and oily as mine was when I pulled it out. One of the reasons I had the side covers off when I put it back in was so I'd have a place to grab.
