Ha ha ha ha.... phone solicitor.

I just got a long distance call from a barley understandable person who asked me what phone company I used, Bell or Rogers. I told him neither- I used semaphore. He replied that he hadn't heard of that one, and was it new?

Most motorcycle problems are caused by the nut between the seat and the handlebars. Make sure yours isn't too tight or too loose.

Reminds me of something funny-stupid I did when I was about 10 years old: My best friend and I decided we would rig up a TC&S system so we could talk to each other without using the phone. He lived across the street and it involved a very long string. For it to work we had to pull the string real tight and it broke, so we tried heavy cord. I had my end through a 2' dia vent hole in an old fashioned storm window. It was working OK when a car drove through the cord, yanking my can out of my hand hard enough to pull out the bottom of the window, braking it and bending the aerial on the guys car. My dad had to fix the window and replace the guy's aerial. He was not pleased.

Probably wouldnt have been the best time to point out that walkie talkies woulda saved all that trouble.

Walky-talkies were real expensive in 1959.
