The 2 steering stem side covers need to be painted flat-black to match the other black pieces IMHO ... would complete the look a bit more ...

I have a set of frame covers already painted but swapping them out is more work than the other pieces combined. I'll probably do it when it warms up. The seat is a Mustang and it really is comfy. The SOA bikes were definitely inspiration for wanting a little fairing on a cruiser style bike. I got this one on Ebay under $75. It's pretty different from what the Sons have but I'm glad the general feeling came through.

where'd you find that bikini fairing? i've considered looking for one, but don't know if it would look any good on an s40. anybody seen one actually installed? find any that might fit?

I got the fairing on ebay for a bout $75. I had to cut away some material on the bottom to get it to fit. It's mounted to the forks with the brackets from a National flyscreen.
