I am the proud new owner of a 2002 Savage! Took it on a short ride, maybe 25 miles, and parked it in my buddy's garage. I don't have a tag yet. Who knew you actually needed a valid drivers license to have title work done? Roll Eyes

By the time I got all that straightened out, the notary closed. I do have a drivers license, insurance, and the title signed over to me at this point. I will finish the paperwork on Monday. Thanks for easing my concerns about this bike. It definitely hauls my big butt around just fine. Now I will post some more silly questions asking for advice!

It is a 2002 Savage. Minor issues include a bent driver's foot peg, bent brake lever, blue header pipe, ugly windshield, and ugly saddle bags.

My buddy let me ride his 1200 Sportster just before we left to look at the Savage. I did that for 2 reasons. I wanted to get reacquainted with a bike since it has been a few years since I've ridden and to compare the git-up-n-go to a "real" bike. I am convinced I have the better/real bike!
