Maybe the package is having a hard time getting a lock on your location; perhaps you should sit in one chair and not move so that its GPS won't get all jittery and it can zero in on you.

We have a similar problem in northern Kentucky. Most packages come to Cincinnati and are 10 minutes from my office. However they then are put on a truck and go 2 hours south to Louisville which is the distribution center for our area.....then they get loaded on a truck and come back 2 hours north again.

I order stuff from J&P fairly often and they ship USPS. The time interval has ranged from 23 days to 4 days, California to London Ontario.

I do have the goods delivered to my office.....it is just across the river from Cincinnati....but is in Kentucky. Our home is about 25 minutes from Cincinnati.
We stopped having things delivered at home when the dog decided to open up the order from Johnny's Seeds. She was a puppy and loved tearing up paper things. When I got home one night and saw paper all over the front yard I figured it was just a magazine. As I started to pick the papers up I could tell it was seed packets. We had lettuce coming up in the brick sidewalk all summer!

Sounds like a skinny version of "container gardening"
Come home and pick your salad on the way to the front door

I ordered a package online from Home Depot. It went from Maryland to Nevada, back to me in West Virginia. "N"V instead of "W"V. And this wasn't a light package. It was a wood-burning stove! You can imagine how peeved I was at their "minor" mistake!

USPS gets a little funny sometimes. Look at my last package.

Everything looks in order, right? Look at it again and pay close attention to the "Out for delivery" date and the "Delivered" date. These were batteries for my auto-dark that I really needed. I waited until about 8pm that night before I finally accepted they weren't showing up that day.
