It's always something

Well this morning I went to take one of my kids to school on the bike, and low and behold, someone stole my license plate with the holder for the inspection sticker as well.
Guess who ever it was thought they needed it more then I did. License plate replacement wasn't bad at all at only $6 but inspection sticker they charged me full price even though they showed it in the system within the last 3 months :/

After having two sets of plates stolen from vehicles, a cop suggested I get personalized plates, He said they are very rarely stolen. Too bad you can't get 'em for a bike.
BTW, I take off the interior panel and put a nut on the back of one of the bolts. Makes it impossible to steal the plate.

When I picked up my new bike the dealership put little black plastic thumb screws there to hold my plate on. Just took them off last week in favor of some pike nuts.
Something that requires two tools makes me feel better.
If not those I would've done some of those keyed nuts and or bolts.
