Well I've been catching up on my reading .
a easy port-a-pottie of sorts ,,, is a 5 gal bucket with a tall kitchen bag liner ... New bag ever time .... and a lined large trash can to put the little bags in.
Some of the Scout camps require everybody to carry out everything that wasn't there to begin with . So far I've managed to avoid all of them.
Those port-a-potties things ... How about renting one of them for a week ? I've never checked on them anybody know the story on em.?
I saw a contraption in a magizine ... picture this ....
a tolet seat that fastens to a 2" receiver hitch that has a trash bag hooket to it ..

It's covered, the camping unit is where I thought we stashed it.

Don't see why not; a pair of roller skates for your feet and a seat belt to hold you in place should do the trick, don't ya think ?

Like old Amtrak bathrooms that have signs that say "Do not flush while train is in the station"...
Last time I was on the Southwest Chief in 1990, the train had one of those cars in service, the modern car broke and they pulled one of the antiques out of mothballs. We kept trying to flush a couple of Scouts we truly disliked in the middle of the Painted Desert...
We were enroute to the Philmont Scout Ranch, I've been 3 times, 2 on treks, once for National Junior Leader Training.

Eagle at age 15. Brother and 2 cousins got theirs at 18. Brotherhood level OA, chapter chief.
Was last active with a Venture Crew, stepson made Ranger. Also was an assistant Scoutmaster and merit badge counselor at the same time.

Finalized dates are September 14th arrive, Sept 21st leave -- that is a full calender week to shoot at.
Start posting your arrival/leave times Lancer & Verslagen so the more local folks can plan to hit your days with their partial week of days.

Arrival time: already on site... Departure time: haven't died yet, can't predict that...
Couldn't help it. Feeling a bit obnoxious today...

Congraulations WD
My son just finished his Eagle project (Very proud !!!) @ 16.
I started out as "Tiger cub " den leader , then inhaired the pack 4 months later when the CubMaster quit. After my son finished the Cub program there wasn't a troop to go to ...... So .... I reserected the one from 15 years ago , and the party has been going on ever since !
So ??? Is it true ? Is being an Eagle a leg up in life ? I do know some of the stuff these boys know I learned same time they did !

If they enlist they automatically are bumped up one pay grade. If they join NESA (National Eagle Scout Association) it opens a lot of doors. Does show potential employers that they have an understanding of dedication and hard work.
Other than that, it's a toss up.
