Technically you need a non-resident license, BUT, the state has never stocked our pond. Game warden on our place? They know better... it's informally listed as a wildlife preserve.
I called the game dept last year, told them I had a bead on a poacher and was getting ready to drop him... their response? "Have fun". Nobody ever showed up.

I called in each time I knocked down a septic doe that a road hunter had put a round in. The response? Okay, thanks for taking care of it.

Called in to have a rescue organization come get a fawn tangled up in an old fence line. The response? "You deal with it, deer are overpopulated and we'll just end up charging you money for us to come put it down". The fawn survived, she's named "Gimpy" and she's one of the lead watch does in our resident herd. Last year was the first time this place had been hunted since 1958. Deer are a plague in west TN, I tilled over several sets of tracks last night, in the main gardens.

And we're still adding stuff and making other improvements.
