Anybody who is coming have access to take off wide FL or beach bars? Want to swap for some 15" rise apes with clutch cable? My shoulder decided yesterday that it can't handle the 15s anymore, and I kind of miss 70+ mpg anyway... I'm even going to ramp back the jetting, 155/55 is excessive...

I might have to set up my bender and make a proper set of bars... Wiring got hacked away this afternoon. So now I have no choice but to quit goofing around and rewire it the right way, no safeties, no kill switch, no switch boxes... Cool

Naked? Nah, just tired of it looking like it was built in 68, so going for 48 instead. Wide lower bars, small shield (maybe), driving lamps, more traditional tread front tire, front drum wheel, more period correct perches and levers. I even tore the speedometer apart, cleaned the glass, cable is soaking in a bucket of hydraulic fluid (great corrosion remover/inhibitor and lube), lubed the driven bits, primed the inner spacer ring, have a spot/dot equipped 2 up seat...

I might even whitewall out the tires. I think I'm getting old... Undecided

We are just aging well and getting better every year like a fine wine.

I'm moving toward a flat tracker style with my Savage. I've got an old fiberglass tank off a BSA flat track bike that I need to work on mounting to the frame this winter. Will need to coat the inside with the epoxy needed for the fuels now.

I'd love to cut the frame on mine and stretch it enough to use my 4.75 gallon Paughco Mustang FXR tank. Instead of the current track type tank. So a 4-6 inch stretch of the backbone and bracer, then add a 4 inch rearward stretch weld on rigid conversion, with good solo seat conversion.

My back screams to not to do it. My eyes say it is mandatory. Maybe the next time I have another large bike I'll go ahead and go truly wild making the Savage a proper late 30s to early 50s bike.

Will be mid to upper 90s until at least Thursday with heat indexes over 100 each day. Supposed to cool down to the mid 80s this weekend. Have not heard the forecast beyond then. OK....Time for me to weigh in and try to make a commitment.

I have a meeting that I need to attend on Tuesday, and it is hard for me to get away early in the week....tentatively I would be leaving Wednesday and arrive later on Wednesday evening. I don't want to miss a reunion with MM and Lancer........and a chance to meet Versy and our host WD.

Any definite plans on what is going to happen on any given day?

WD.....How is that "work" thing going?
