We'll try and keep the felonies to a bare minimum... and try very hard to NOT secede while at one of the battlefields.  

If I'd been caught doing a fraction of what I've gotten away with, I'd be under the prison... in a padded cell.

Haven't seen anybody show up yet, but, I was at work from 3 pm to 1045 pm or so. And then the power went out. My place is next to impossible to find in full daylight, at night with a partial moon and scattered clouds, forget it. I know where it is and still fly by the driveway regularly.

L and V got in while I was at work. I'll check in with them in the morning, I just staggered in from work.

You didn't wait for the .45 black powder alarm clock?   Be down in a while, trying to dynamite my eyes open.

Lancer and Verslagen are set up down at Doug's, better access to power and water than out at the pond. I should be back home by 1400 hours or so. You have my cell number if there are issues, and scratch the directions I gave you, take the 385/Millington exit off I-40, take it to Brunswick Rd and turn right. Stay on Brunswick to McQuiston, Brunswick road ends there, turn right, left on Deadfall, 1st driveway on the left. Watch the hill where McQuiston meets Deadfall, 3 way stop, but it is harvest season, lots of tractors and big rigs. They often miss the sign (I'd guess intentionally).

There are clouds over the MS River right now. Have not checked the forecast. Brunswick Road is freshly paved for a good stretch, beware the school zone in the whistle stop town of Bolton.

MMRanch made it in safe and sound yesterday afternoon. The guys are off to breakfast, I'll head that way in a little while. Taking my truck, there have been a few ridability issues, humidity is way up, cold front never materialized. Lancer actually had to put a different carb on his bike yesterday, the humidity was wreaking havoc with his Edelbrock. Which is too bad, the Edlebrock looks good, flows better and is infinitely adjustable 98% of the time. I'd love to install one on Pokey.

For those who haven't met them, Lancer Verslagen and MMRanch are a great bunch of people.  The next time we have a south east get together that does not involve the Dragon, we'll do a much better job with it, timing AND activities. This year's event kind of fell apart, I did not expect to get a town job less than a month before it. My bike is still in pieces, the docks did not get finished, the shooting backstop is overgrown (so we moved where we wer shooting yesterday)...

West TN is time of year is like the Amazon jungle... noisy, steamy, stinky, buggy... and there was a late pollen bloom.

Makes for a rather dull get together, everyone is too miserable to do much.

Hmm, we have hurricane season, tornado season, flea and tick season, and put on your helmet and your head explodes season...

They're all about the same. Oh, the above is, in order, fall, fall/spring, year round, and summer...

Too hot to ride air cooled here in the summer most years. Lancer's blue bike sounds like an old CR500 2 stroke right now between the humidity and the poor quality of local fuel. This is NOT an ethanol blend friendly part of the country, too damp.

Really late fall tends to be best, but only on piddly harvest years. If we have a decent crop, like this year's is turning into, we're too busy to sleep, let alone have any fun.
