Pics? Good grief why? A bunch of baby bikes in the jungle isn't photo worthy... Wink

I know Lance took at least one yesterday, but he's not in it. Group photo at a rest area on the way back from Dixie Gun Works. I drove the chase truck up, and beat the bikes there... because "somebody" was using GPS and it sent the bikes the long way around. I called them while they were still on the old road to find out where they were, 12 miles out according to the GPS, but it took almost an hour for them to get to the shop/museum. I think everybody wanted more cash on hand, seeing as Dixie sells functional cannons along with muzzle loaders and antique cartridge guns... They had 2 Gatling guns in stock that would look great on the manor house front porch. Shocked

Started raining this morning, supposed to stop in 3 days or so. Pretty sure the guys headed home, the area they set up in is abandoned now.

Next time WILL be better. Plan is to run power and potable water to permanent camping sites around the pond. Just need the income to support the upgrades.

Safe trip, hope to see everybody on the 2014 Dragon run if I have vacation time banked up by then. If not we'll put together something for next year, IF the site is improved by then.

I got back about 14:30hrs. and had a rain free ride once I got 10 miles north/east. It was only beginning to rain when I left (just enough to make the road slippery). So I made my way to the interstate and turned the s-40 loose !

By time I got to Jackson the sun was shinning. Cool

. So I hopped on 412 and maked my way south-east and home. Hwy 412 was a nice supprise, most of its' 4 lane and some of it has a 65mph limit.

I took a couple pictures but haven't downloaded them yet , might get to it tonight.

We allways need more folks to show up !

I know its a little early for "Fall Festibles" and such but !!! Shocked

We found a Corn Maise so big ... (How big was it ?) .... Well it was so big ... Grin

"There was a road built through it !" "Black top even" ... "and two lanes"

The speed limit was 45 and it was full of 90 degree turns , it went on for at least 30 minutes but it seemed like for-ever (of course runninng on the reserve fuel tank Embarrassed

made it seem even longer).

We were in it so long "De-Ja-Vo" set in on us ! Grin

When we finally found a gas station Doug says "Hay-We've been here befor " Shocked

I'm not sure it was eariler that day ???

Would'nt have missed it for nothing and wish more of ya'll could have been there.

I had the GPS set to stay off the main roads and it worked perfect ! Wink

Yours truly; Lancer; pausing & trying to remember what I was supposed to be doing; well, perhaps it will come back to me later.

there are certain priorities ... coffee on the fire in the wee hours before dawn
taking first watch in the early morning hours; building the fire and putting on the coffee

Tombstone? Oh, the old coffee table in the firewood pile... Grin

Nobody fell in any of the graves on that area of the farm. There are a bunch of small sinkholes that look just like collapsing grave sites. Very well could be, as they flank the original war era road...

Lots of abandoned cemeteries in my area. Even formal ones in town that are so overgrown you can't see the markers anymore. Not to mention all of the odd little family and slave burial grounds you stumble into where the bigger plantations were... Kind of creepy, go off hunting and stumble over an old grave or 50. No rocks at the surface around here naturally, any you trip over tend to be grave markers.
