It's $20/lb around here. I use 5-30 grains of loose 777 FFFg equivalent under a 30gr pyrodrek pellet. Can has lasted quite awhile...

The .54 Lyman Great Plains cap lock takes FFg, we got a can last month and still haven't touched off a single round.
I need to get rid of my "modern" guns and get a couple flint locks. The 1931 S&W factory nickel with carved pearl grips 3rd Model .44 Hand Ejector is nice, really nice, but I hate shooting it. Grip frame is too little. My 1935 CZ24 .380 jam-o-matic is ready to become a fishing weight, tiny and even with new springs and a proper lubing it jams. .38 Long Colt revolver hammer face broke. I despise my .30/30 Winchester carbine. .44wcf revolver frame split (from use). 20g Remington autoloader is getting ready to go on the anvil and get flattened, what a waste of steel and walnut, but Lisa would flatten me, it was her grandfather's gun...
About $6K in family guns that I hate shooting or flat out hate and can't sell. Cartridges, like overhead valves, are just a passing fad...

So far so good... invite extended to The Pilot House and Sweptline truck boards, flathead 6 Mopar car board and the "Dirty South--- Whiskey Built and Hell Bound" section of Do the Ton.
I expect a few will turn up from each board. Just to make it more interesting, especially if the Memphis Mummies "drinking club with a motorcycle habit" shows up...
And I did BAN dirt bikes and crotch rockets. Nowhere here to fully enjoy using them, the motor sports park is rather expensive to rent for a day...

Post us up a list of "those saying they are coming" from all your various clubs and let's start talking about tents and stuff.
We are 4 months out from the first annual scoot & shoot so a wee little bit of planning is mebbe due.
From our side we got these folks indicating interest so far ....

So far one from DTT, two maybes from the 33-60 flathead Mopar group. One 46 truck, one 48 or 49 car that is a sleeper (looks stock externally but has a hopped up 251 or 265 big block)
A lot of the guys in the other groups won't know until the dates get closer.

OK, if we are primitive camping, our planning will have to include a shitter of some sort.
Boyscout Campmaster, how do you do it in the Scouts under haul it in primitive conditions ??
You wouldn't happen to have a portable shitter in your kit, would you?

We'll have to get a portable brought in. I've got a base for a Scout Camp style outhouse, but, I'm not inclined to build one.

MMRanch is Mr. Soutmaster, so let's wait until he gets back to us -- I pm'd him about it.
No joke, at one point in time I had me an old cane bottom chair with the caning all gone out of it that I had screw mounted a modern toilet seat on to that was used when we went on primitive camping trips.
We just dug a little hole under the seat with the dirt piled nearby, you shite, wiped, tossed and then shoved a little dirt over each layer of mess to keep the flies away. Then we put all the dirt back and put the sod plug back when we left the site. No muss, no fuss.
Primitive camping at it's most basic.

We've got an actual camping toilet that uses bags with odor buster and moisture absorption properties. Got it for a naturist party we hosted last summer. I'll try and find it. Should be in either the Nomad camper or the motor home.
Both are junkers, I'm not dragging them down by the pond.
