Like we are not going to believe it is windy if they are behind a window and pointing it at the waves and surf.....instead of making the reporter stand on the beach in 60 mph winds and rain.

All trucks cleared off the highway by 11, all non essential off the road by 1pm by order of the Governor. It stopped raining, mildly windy but nothing severe. --Steve

Same here in N.H. Some gusts in the 30mph range but nothing terrible. . Generator is ready to go if I need it. I can see that I'm gonna have to rake leaves again after this is over.

It will probably knock trees down onto power lines, so my oil lamp collection will probably come in handy.

I drove right through Floyd in '99 on my way to Atlanta and while it was an experience I won't forget - it wasn't enough to blow me around the road.
