The latest LIE from lyin and mitt is that Obama sold jeep to a foreign country and they are shipping the jobs all to china...WHAT...when did obama buy chrysler??????

This is so far over the top it is beyond hypocrisy, you lie that obama owns jeep, then sells it to another country now they are closing the plant and sending the jobs to china....all the while HE being Mitt is actually doing what he is blaming Obama for! This ad is a total boldface friggin LIE. Angry

The American people deserve better!

Jeep is ADDING 10000 jobs in ohio!!!

Jeep under fiat's ownership is opening a factory in china to sell in china. I believe they are hiring in OH to make some critical components for that and other JEEP vehicles. Dammit guys, Jeep I had heard of looooooooong before I knew what and why when I was a wee one growing up in the villages of India. We even had an old dude we used to call "Jeep grampa" cos ... well he drove a jeep being some sorta army corps guy and being old ... The whole world wants the Jeep, even though we have put that emblem on everything and cheapened it ...

Obama gets blamed for the bailout but when things go right he dont get any credit ?

Anyway Chrysler and jeep were saved by europeans ... not really by Obama.

Romeny closed delphi in dayton and REALLY shipped production to china.... ALL fact checkers have said the ads are LIES....sheet people how many have to point this out before people realize........

I dunno who said 110,000 jobs and where and when etc ... but chrysler CEO said -

“Jeep production will not be moved from the United States to China,” Marchionne stated in the e-mail. “The numbers tell the story,” followed by specific investments Chrysler has made at its plants in Detroit, Toledo and Belvidere, Ill. “Those include more than $1.7 billion to produce the successor of the Jeep Liberty and hire about 1,100 workers on a second shift by 2013.”

It was on detroit free press's site found through a yahoo search - 6-7th link down. Pretty sure Google and bink show it as well.

We dont have to worry about china getting into our auto industry as much any more ...

China and many other countries including the US have long exploited the migrant population for building them selves into the industrailised status. The Myth of a better life in a "city" far away. AKA the Mary Tyler Moore Myth IMHO.

However In china of late that myth has really come to unravel. Migration has started to reverse. The factories have had to move to the villages, everything gets decentralised, and people want better living standards and hence everything rises in $$$.

China has long been @ the forefront in electronics and fragile part assemblies, cos they have massive man power and labor. They however cant assemble auto parts that same way, they have tried to make japan like bikes since 1995 atleast and failed ... korea succeded but china did not. India is better at it than china IMHO.

I wont worry too much about china, 1.2 trillion out of 16 trillion aint much of a problem, I dont think its going to skyrocket ... and I doubt china will start taking up anything from us auto industry ...
No we dont give up. We still need to exceed our own goals and standards, but china aint a huge deal in the auto sector.
Ipad/Ipod etc etc, we have no chance, we are cooked.

Vehicular cancer, & chemo to fix it is expensive & time consuming,
I wouldnt want to pay for the materials to do the bodywork on that poor thing, & I have no idea what it would be worth once it was done.
Need a Mig & some sheet metal tooling. Cut some of those places out & build repair panels.. Heck, they may be available. I know you can buy fender sections for some old pickups that tended to rust out in certain places.Thats a far better solution that sand blasting, treating the rust, beating the area low & Mudding over it,
