Interestingly, the Geo Metro got a 1.3 liter three cylinder, but it's Suzuki Swift counterpart got a 1.3 liter four cylinder.

My 1992 Geo Metro had a four cylinder. It was a four door sedan style. I was able to attain nearly 55 mpg (Canadian gallon) when driving on a flat highway and cruising no higher than 80 kmh (50 mph). I was able to go 745 km (465 miles) per tank of 8.5 gal (10.6 usg). It was the most ecconomical car I have ever had.
It was not available in the US until 1995.
