I owned a brand new one back in the day. The first year Suzuki made them they did not sell them all, the next year they repainted them black and changed the tennis ball turn signals and goofy speedometer/tachometer into a standard style....and still didn't sell them all. They then put a big rebate on them, and I bought one for $ 1,600 brand new. I put a black Windjammer SS fairing on it.
It was a real novelty, I never had any problems with mine - but I only rode it about 1,000 miles. It sounded a bit like a Harley when idling and was kind of a deep sound - but at speed it sounded more like a 175 Honda. It had a bunch of torque and if you let off the throttle too quickly in the lower gears it could slide the back tire. The exhaust came out into a casting and then it split into a left and a right exhaust pipe that had an inner and outer pipe with an air intake that allowed air to blow between the two pipes. When you shut the engine off theh exhaust would click and click and click as it cooled down. I sold it when I moved to Cincinnati and started college.
