PS,.. My mum's had Congestive heart failure for about 15 years... her heart became enlarged, and was pooling blood...
Treatment with Beta blockers, blood thinners, etc... have brought her from a heart that was functioning at 20 to 30%, to a heart that is doing 70%+... it has strengthened, and is back to a relatively normal size...
Doc says she's about normal now for 77yrs old... and she's been taken off blood thinners and just on an aspirin a day...
Today's her birthday!... made her Cornish Pasties and sprouts...

Thing is they caught it in time. You will be Ok and be back riding. I'm kinda in the same boat. My goal was to hit 50,000 miles on my Savage and post a pic. I have 49,900 miles on my bike. I rode a couple of thousand miles this summer and almost made it. I got off my bike and fell down with 3 mini strokes and 1 major one in the emergency room. I plan on getting the last 100 next spring hopefully. I'm not going anywhere until I do!

Bottom Line: "I iz not dead. Everytink else ken be fixed." When I came back to consciousness after my triple bypass my first words were "I survived!" I have a 25% Ejection Factor, had a stroke, and I have an ICD to insure my heart keeps beating -- but it has been 2 1/2 years and I can still ride. Listen to your young cute cardiologist (mine is! as is my doctor and speach therapist.) Listen to your doctors. You may not trust them, but you can trust the money. They can't make money on corpses.

We use turnips, per the recipe we have. Never heard of using rutabagas, but I expect they'd be pretty tasty. I suspect there is no One True Recipe, since they are likely made from local products.

A. I thought turnips and rutabagas were the same thing...
... and...
2. Cornish Pasties are actually copyrighted by the town of Cornwall... so, any recipe that doesn't include going to Cornwall, ain't legally, technically, a Cornish Pastie...
Sooo,.. I left the turnips out, just for spite... beef, onion, and potato in a very buttery, rich, pastry...
I was born 30 miles from Wales,.. so I think it's legal for me to abuse the recipe, in fact, it may be a legal obligation, seeing that I'm not currently in Cornwall at the moment...
