And if the bullets were $100, and she had shot the guy say 5 times, she'd have got those bullets back when the cops came.
Cool.

Cool.
Srinath.

Except with her at that age being on SSI she wouldn't be able to afford the box of ammo, to load the gun with it already being around $30 to $60 per box depending on caliber then an additional tax of $100 per bullet on top of that, and that is just for a small box of 20 rnds of defense type ammo right now as the price is going up as it is with all the crap that is going on.

Believe me I know the SSI isn't that much per month, I'm a disabled person myself, not retired but disabled.

Aaaah, OK there could be a disability/SSI waiver, but only a few per person per year or ever, else they will be hocking them to anyone who would buy em for a few $$ more. if used to shoot an intruder, they get replacements from the cops.

Cool.

The hassle is the part he enjoys!  And if facts go in the way, the argument than at $100 a pop people would just make bullets in the garage would have had some kind of impact.

Yep,Srinath thrives on the attention and feeds on discontent and discord. Facts only cloud the issues for him. He's like a bad cold, only the cold goes away in a week or two Roll Eyes

Yea and people will make bullets out if nothing in their garage ?
No, you need a bunch of machinery, chemicals etc etc ... and skill ...not going to happen in the scale we are thinking, especially after you restrict everything.

Once again, we cant stop 1 guy from shooting 1 bullet into his intended target. 1 on 1 killings are almost un stoppable. If we were to remove all guns from society, they will kill with a knife. Remove those, baseball bats, remove those, pink pongs ...

We can stop 1 or 2 or 3 guys from a bullet rain into a random crowd if the bullets were very very expensive. It also has to be a nationwide tax and we need to get mexico and canada to play along.

Sadly you are all purposefully missing the point. Mostly because "you dont want it to change".

Cool.

We get the point AND we don't want the change because the change will not work and will have no effect on your point.

Your first premise that a $100 per bullet tax will deter crazy people because crazy people are all broke and have no access to cash is completely flawed.

Your second premise that creating a massive government bureaucracy to give certain people subsidies is even worse than the first idea, and that is hard to do.

The third premise of having the State, though a surrogate you defined as the police, be in charge of deciding when we get to exercise our inalienable rights by doling out bullets to replace spent ammo is so far beyond the pale.

You seem to have no concept of what the Constitution and Bill of Rights were created to protect. You completely disconnect the great success of this country from these basic human rights. You have no capacity to understand how ideas like yours are so counter the security of a free people. Again, if you want to be safe from your neighbors and crazy people then I am sure North Korea will take you in, maybe China too. Nothing to fear from your neighbors there.

I'm still trying to figure out how they rung abortion out of there. Whatever your views on abortion, that "right" is absolutely not in either of those documents.

Right ... and let them do that after we have put every component of a bullet into tight control (like ephedrine or 1/2 the pharmacy aisle) and we will worry about stopping that. In any case, 300 bullets in 3 mins ... will have to stop. I cant stop the 1 bullet in 3 hours crowd. But the 300 in 3 min should be stopped.

Cool.
